“DL Hugley gets roasted by Mo’Nique in the opening act of Celebrity vs Character’s War”
As we promote entertainment and minority culture, with the roll out of #MadComedian’s Celebrity versus Characters’ War. Which is an animated comedy special that roasted professional celebrities such as #KattWilliams, #DaveChappelle and #Monique — our promotion now is heading in the direction of #Swizzbeats and #Timberland’s Versus battle.
Mad Comedian was actually an arguer of the hip-hop versus battle, with the #DJmixchallenge and he challenge both producers to a battle. Well, Mad Comedian’s catalog isn’t long enough to hold a battle with anyone. But the focus is still rolling out the 1 hour 2-part comedy special, which has a 1/2-hour stand up and sit-down comedy special performance — plus a 1/2-hour musical hip-hop show. Yes, Mad Comedian is doing it all on stage in an animated showcasing that may change comedy and animated comedy forever. Since it will be the first animated stand-up comedy performance.
The self-published and promoted venture has been working with Monique as the two under-appreciated comedians {One writer and producer, other (Monique) legendary comedienne}; joined forces to boycott Netflix. (#boycottnetflix) based on wage discrimination, and how the publishing company selected its broadcasters. Monique had issues with wages for minority women compare to those in the market, and Mad Comedian’s brand had issues with how Netflix arranged their contracts.
So, for the last 4 year both new and up and coming comedian in #MadComedian, and legendary comedienne Monique have been blacklisted in entertainment. And on May 28, 2022 with the promotion from WBLIS Detroit, Michigan at the legendary Fox Théâtre–Moqinue took the stage. It all seamed as if she was making her comeback unhinged.
Reports from her Instagram was: “Monique believed she was coming to the show to headline.” (Click on the link to see the post on Instagram)
And when she got to the venue, she arrived early for the show, and her time according to her accord, meaning her own mouth; DL Hughley arrived late with a memo stating he was the headliner, and he wouldn’t go on stage before her. Monique went with the choice to go on stage anyway can collect her earnings for the day. But after her set, the crowd got a royal surprise with a roast on DL Hughley; and it was a good one. After this performance Mo’nique, (click the link to support Mo’nique’s website) got a standing ovation from the crowd in attendance at the Fox Theatre. The issue with the performance wasn’t a hot button issue until “The Shade Room,” aired a clip-on social media. “Mo’nique had some words for DL” –reported by The Shade Room.
This opened a can of worms, and lead to a month-long feud on social media, and broadcast radio. DL Hughley went to his instagram to mock her about the headlining spot and placed his contract. “Breaking News: Comedian DL Hughley post his contract on instagram in a legendary feud.” (click the link to view the contract on instagram).
Things took a turn for the worst, when both professionals attacked each other’s families. Now in no way Hoodville News condones that type of back and forth, and reports show that both are in the wrong, because this incident was years in the makings. And what we want to focus on is the performance, because the content was great. Mo’niQue had a show on June 18, 2022 at the Duke Performance Center in North Carolina. And she gave her apology to the incident. DL Hughley wasn’t having it.
Both Comedian and Comedienne had other showcases, whereas the stock of Monque has risen, and she is riding a wave. We hope, Monique’s media company started by her husband can organize a comedy album based off this performance. He has to publish this and monetize it, the performance was too good to leave it alone.
This is why the iconic blogger and writer: “TheFanNJ” is calling round 1 of #Celebrityvscharacterswar to #Monique because her roast on #DLHughley went to the soul, so much Mr. Hughley pulled his investment into the brand of Mad Comedian.
